I have come to know for myself that God, my Father in Heaven, lives. It is a liberating thing to know, independent of any other person, that there is a God in Heaven, one who knows me by name and often thinks about me. It has been my struggle to know him better, I had no idea the extent of his yearning to be an active part of my life.
Aside from that I know that his son, Jesus Christ, came to this Earth dressed in mortal frailty. He was born here, he died here, and it was all for us. From the beginning he was willing to lay down his life for his brothers and sisters, he was ready do what whatever it took to grant us a way back to our Father in Heaven. It is ironic to me that he said, "Greater love hath no man than this, that he would lay down his life for his friends.", since he is the great exemplar of that statement. Perhaps he is the most qualified to say it. I have so much more to say, I have been redeemed by him, I am a friend to him, I love him. I truly owe him everything.
